The 527 series safety valves are manufactured by Caleffi S.p.A. in compliance with the essential safety requirements set forth by directive 97/23/CE of the European Parliament and of the Council of the European Union, for the approximation of the laws of the Member States concerning pressure equipment.

Safety valves are very important as they are typically used to control pressure on heat generators in heating systems, both in contact with water and in contact with air. When the calibration pressure is reached, the valve opens and, by discharging into the atmosphere, prevents the system pressure from reaching dangerous limits for the generator and the components of the system itself. The 527 series valves are equipped with positive action, meaning that performance is guaranteed even in the event of deterioration or rupture of the diaphragm.
