The heat exchanger of the BLUEHELIX ALPHA thermal unit (fig. A) compared to the more classic and widespread steel exchanger. This geometry allows the exchanger to operate almost at maximum design efficiency even in conditions of partial clogging, whereas with the same amount of deposits and sediments (e.g., due to installation on old systems), the exchanger in fig. B tends to clog much more quickly in the part in contact with the flame due to the reduced fluid passage area, where a real barrier of deposits is formed*, hindering heat exchange and reducing efficiency below nominal values.

THE ENGINE

The tube forming the BLUEHELIX ALPHA heat exchanger is made of stainless steel, a material that allows for an extremely smooth surface, and thus less susceptible to scaling agents and deposits.

BOILER CONTROL

The BLUEHELIX ALPHA control unit consists of an easy-to-use interface with a backlit display. Using the buttons, it is possible to easily adjust the heating flow temperature, the domestic hot water setpoint, switch the generator on/off, or activate the comfort function, monitoring the boiler status. The control panel is completed by a traditional pressure gauge that can check the system pressure at any time.

The electronics control the flame ionization current to ensure optimal combustion as air density or gas quality varies. The relationship between the air/gas ratio (λ) and the flame ionization signal is used to control the air-gas ratio itself and thus combustion. MC2: Multi Combustion Control, the new combustion system with patented Gas-adaptive technology improves adaptability to varying gas network conditions (e.g., fluctuations or reduced pressures).

MGR Methane, LPG, Propane Air Ready

MC2: Multi Combustion Control, the new combustion system with patented Gas-adaptive technology improves adaptability to varying gas network conditions (e.g., fluctuations or reduced pressures). Thanks to the new electronics, the gas change operation is extremely simple. The MC2 combustion control constantly monitors combustion quality, and by simply modifying a parameter on the electronic board (an operation to be performed only by qualified personnel), the boiler can operate on Methane, LPG, or Propane Air. Therefore, no additional accessory kits need to be purchased.

CONNECT

New wireless remote control available as an accessory for managing home comfort also from smartphones via the connect app (iOS and Android). Maximizes ambient comfort with flow temperature modulation through Ambient Climatic Compensation (CCA) and External Climatic Compensation (CCE) functions via external temperature detectable directly from the internet (or from an optional external probe). Improves average seasonal efficiency in space heating by +4%.

EASY MAINTENANCE

Trouble-free maintenance. During the first maintenance, the technician can appreciate the care with which every detail has been designed to facilitate their work. Thanks to maximum accessibility to the main components, the BLUEHELIX ALPHA thermal unit allows maintenance to be performed with maximum precision and speed. Some examples: - The electrical box of the electronic board can be easily removed from the chassis, allowing free access to the internal parts.

- Easy access to the burner unit by removing 4 screws and the quick-release (clip) of the fan.
- The extra-large passage heat exchanger is designed to withstand hard water and is easily cleaned thanks to the un-manifolded single-tube circuit.
- The domestic hot water inlet filter can be extracted with extreme ease directly from the inside without having to remove the boiler's hydraulic connections.
- Any disassembly and replacement of the plate heat exchanger is done simply by removing two Allen bolts accessible from the front.

SUN EASY FUNCTION

BLUEHELIX ALPHA has been designed to be easily integrated into systems made with the latest technologies. The SUN EASY system uses electronics that simplify pairing with both natural and forced circulation solar panels. Through a sensor placed on the sanitary circuit, it continuously monitors the temperature of the water preheated by the solar panels, only activating the burner if the latter drops below the level necessary to ensure optimal user comfort.

STOP AND GO FUNCTION

With the use of mixing sanitary taps, short or very short deliveries for quick rinses cause the boiler ignition procedure to start, which usually concludes immediately. The persistence of these "false starts" can, in the long run, compromise the average life of the product. For this reason, BLUEHELIX ALPHA provides an electronic parameter by which it is possible to delay the ignition of the burner (Stop and Go), activating it only in the event of actual domestic hot water withdrawals.

OUTDOOR INSTALLATION - ANTI-FREEZE FUNCTION

To maximize available space, the new BLUEHELIX ALPHA 24 - 28 C boiler can be recessed into the wall thanks to the specific kit; for more critical installations, in completely exposed places not protected from atmospheric agents, the "painted cabinet" kit is also available. Should the temperature in the boiler drop to 5°C, the burner automatically turns on and the circulator is activated to protect the appliance from frost damage. This function is active when the boiler is supplied with gas and electrical power.

ECO-COMFORT SANITARY FUNCTION

In ECO mode, domestic hot water production occurs according to traditional standards, allowing energy savings during periods of non-use. In COMFORT mode, thanks to the particular heat exchanger temperature maintenance system, domestic hot water delivery becomes even faster and more comfortable.
